<p>The HV Diagnostics TD30 is a battery powered system that is directly connected to the HVA30 series of VLF test systems. The standard C size alkaline battery cells last for up to 10 hours providing the capacity for many tests to be performed. The TD30 is supplied with 10 metres of output cable which is already terminated to suit the HVA30 test system. Companion operating software gives a complete picture of the tan delta measurement together with a real time display of the output voltage and current. The data transmission is via Bluetooth eliminating the need for a direct connection between the TD30 and the data collection device.<b></b></p>

			<p>Combined with the CPC 100, the CP TD1 measures the capacitance and dissipation factor (power factor) with laboratory precision. This allows the insulation condition of transformers, generators and other parts of high-voltage systems to be tested according to IEEE 62 (C57.152), IEC 60076-1 and -3, as well as the CIGRE &#8220;Guide for Transformer Maintenance&#8221;. As recommended in the CIGRE Guide, testing is performed at variable frequencies to better diagnose signs of ageing in insulation. The portable test system can also generate output voltages of up to 12 kV.</p>
